Assessment of the NASA Applied Sciences Program

This new report from the National Academies evaluates the last five years of NASA's Applied Science Program, the division that collects remote sensing data and generates scientific models for public and private organizations. The report examines how NASA extends its research results to practical, societal applications, as well as rates the success of collaboration between NASA and partner agencies in helping them meet their decision-support goals.

This briefing was for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on October 12, 2007 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
