Review of Federal Strategy for Nanotechnology-Related
Environmental, Health, and Safety Research
Requested by Congress in PL 110-161, this report reviews the draft document "Federal Strategy for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Research Needs for Engineered Nanoscale Materials," which was released by the U.S. National Nanotechnology Initiative, to determine how this strategy will support the EHS risk assessment and risk management needs with respect to nanomaterials.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on December 10, 2008 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
