Future Directions for the National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Reports
The Agency for Healthcare Quality and Research produces two annual reports on the quality of health care delivery in the United States, which provide useful insights on how care has improved or regressed. This document reviews these annual reports and offers a vision for steps that will enhance the reports’ role in advancing and documenting the state of health care quality in the nation.
This briefing was for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on April 14, 2010 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
