Nutrition Standards for Foods in Schools:
Leading the Way Toward Healthier Youth

Requested by Congress in P.L. 108-447, this new report from the Institute of Medicine proposes nutritional standards for a la carte cafeteria items, vending machine products, and other foods and beverages sold outside of federal school meal programs.
