The Ongoing Challenge of Managing Carbon Monoxide in Fairbanks, Alaska

Part of an ongoing study being conducted in response to a request from Congress in PL 106-377, this interim report examines carbon monoxide pollution in Fairbanks, Alaska. A final report will look at other regions where the climate and topography lead to particularly high levels of this gas.

This briefing was for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on May 7, 2002 and can be found, in its entirety, on the National Academy Press Web site.
