Organ Donation:
Opportunities for Action
A new report from the Institute of Medicine, Organ Donation: Opportunities for Action, examines ways of closing the large and increasing gap between the availability of organs and the need for them and proposes a number of steps to improve the situation.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on May 2, 2006 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
