Planning Climate and Global Change Research:
A Review of the Draft U.S. Climate Change Science Program Strategic Plan
In response to a request by the Bush Administration to review its draft global-warming research plan, a committee from the National Academies examined whether the research called for in the proposed plan will improve scientific understanding of climate change and its implications for the nation.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on February 26, 2003 and can be found, as Appendix “A” within the final report, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
