Precise Geodetic Infrastructure: National Requirements for a Shared Resource
This new report, from the National Academies, assesses the benefits of the geodetic technologies and networks -- which measure the Earth's shape, orientation in space, and gravity field -- and lays out an infrastructure plan for greater precision.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on September 1, 2010 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
