Progress Toward Restoring the Everglades: The First Biennial Review, 2006
Congressionally mandated in P.L. 106-541, this report reviews the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan, a multibillion dollar federal-state effort to preserve the Florida Everglades by redirecting water to parts of the ecosystem that need it most.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on September 25, 2006 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
