The Quality of Science and Engineering at the NNSA National Security Laboratories
This new report, requested by Congress in P.L. 111-84, is the final of two from the National Academies. It reviews the quality of scientific research and engineering at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Sandia National Laboratories, which are part of the National Nuclear Security Administration. The first report, released in February 2012, examined management of the laboratories.
These briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on September 10, 2013 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
