This new report, requested by Congress in P.L. 112-74, assesses the scientific information, analyses, and conclusions in the draft EIS (Environmental Impact Assessment) for Drakes Bay Oyster Company Special Use Permit, which will be used to determine the potential environmental impacts of a proposed 10-year permit extension of the company's operations.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on August 30, 2012 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
