This new National Academies report assesses the scientific basis for the National Park Service’s presentations and report "Drakes Estero: A Sheltered Wilderness Estuary" on the ecological effects of the Drakes Bay Oyster Company operations on Drakes Estero, Point Reyes National Seashore, in California.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on May 5, 2009 and can be found, in its entirety on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
