This new National Research Council report, requested by Congress in P.L. 112-95, reviews various approaches to establishing staffing levels and recommends variables that should be incorporated in the development of a model to assist the Federal Aviation Administration in determining and allocating the right number of airway transportation system specialists to maintain the National Airspace System safely and efficiently.
