This new report from the National Academies assesses the accuracy of historical temperature measurements that scientists make using tree rings, ice cores, and other methods.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on June 22, 2006 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
