This new report, from the National Academies, assesses the now-completed $5 billion program that modernized the National Weather Service forecasting technologies and recommends how to best plan, deploy, and oversee future improvements.
These series of briefings were for members of Congress and congressional staff only. The report was publicly released on August 2, 2012 and can be found, in its entirety, on the Web site of the National Academies Press.
