The Office of Special Projects (OSP), established in 1997, explores and undertakes selected cross-institutional tasks that do not fit the programs of other units in the Division or other parts of the NRC. Among its tasks are papers synthesizing the reports of the Academy complex, forums, world wide web centers, and a science and technology policy graduate fellowship program for the NAS, NAE, IOM, AND NRC.
