The National Academies provide a choice of health insurance options for official retirees. Your spouse, domestic partner or dependents at the date of your retirement are also eligible for health insurance benefits and enrolled in the same health insurance option as the retiree unless they have differing Medicare eligibility.
If you waive this benefit, your spouse domestic partner or dependent will also be considered as waiving this benefit. If this benefit is waived by you, your spouse, domestic partner or dependent at any time, the benefit cannot be reinstated.
