Mr. Jack W. Schuler, Chairman of the Board, has served as a director of Ventana since April 1991 and as Chairman of the Board of Directors since November 1995. Mr. Schuler is also a partner in Crabtree Partners, a Chicago-based venture capital firm. Prior to joining Ventana, Mr. Schuler held various executive positions at Abbott from December 1972 through August 1989, serving most recently as President and Chief Operating Officer. He is currently a director of Chiron Corporation, Medtronic, Inc., and Stericycle, Inc. Mr. Schuler received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and a MBA from Stanford University.
