NEW & FORTHCOMING RELEASES

The final report of "Trends in Federal Support of Research and Graduate Education"
is available from National Academy Press at
http://www.nap.edu/catalog/10162.html

Congressional and government offices can obtain the report from NAS' Office of Congressional & Government Affairs (202-334-1601). The report updates and extends STEP's 1999 study on trends in federal research funding, showing a shift has been occurring in the composition of the federal research portfolio that is affecting both the allocation of resources by research field and the supply of human resources.

"Capitalizing on New Needs and New Opportunities: Government-Industry Partnerships in Biotechnology and Information Technologies" - FORTHCOMING, expected release early January 2002.

"Measuring and Sustaining the New Economy: Summary of a Workshop" - FORTHCOMING, expected release early 2002.
