Innovation Policies for the 21^st Century: Report of a Symposium

The STEP Board convened a symposium on Innovation Policies for the 21^st Century to mark the opening of the study on Comparative Innovation Policy: Best Practice for the 21^st Century. The event provided an extensive overview of areas to be examined as the study progresses and identified topics requiring further policy attention. The event also highlighted the policies and programs of leading nations and provided valuable insights into some of the common challenges of growing and supporting high-technology industry and the commercialization of public investments in R&D. The published report (found on the right) contains a summary of the symposium proceedings and a substantive analyzing the issues and placing them in a broader policy context.
