Welcome
This study addresses key issues in increasing the participation of underrepresented minorities in the science and engineering pipeline in the context of enhancing our scientific and technological workforce and national competitiveness. The study committee will examine the challenges and opportunities the nation currently faces in developing pathways for minorities that will lead to a strong and diverse workforce. It will identify best practices and the characteristics of these practices that make them effective and sustainable. As part of its final report, the committee will develop an implementation strategy, with a prioritized list of policy and funding action items, that will lead to a science and engineering workforce that mirrors the nation's diverse population.
