Jonsson Center: Indoor Views
The main stairway greets the visitor upon entering the main doors into the foyer. A receptionist is stationed here to greet and facilitate conferees.
The dining room is formally attired and is where meals are provided buffet-style during meetings. The china on display in the cabinets and on the plate rail is representative of that used throughout the history of the house.
Room 208 on the second floor illustrates a typical conference room laid out in conference style. Conference rooms are bright and receive a lot of natural light as well as provide views of the harbor and grounds.
The living room is now used in much the same manner as it would have been when the house was a private residence. Participants can sit in quiet study or read, small groups can have discussions, or relax and read the newspaper.
Meeting participants enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinners on the dining porch, as well as on the lawn and the tables provided in that area. Since many of our meeting participants come from metropolitan areas with stifling heat, the cool New England summer breeze is a delight for the body, mind and the spirit.
